Хореографический перформанс Music for Flowers 2.0
24 ноября в Театре на Страстном композитор и пианист Никола Мельников представит премьеру хореографического перформанса Music for Flowers 2.0 — аудиовизуальное исследование связи человека, природы и технологий.
На сцене — два рояля: один звучит под управлением Мельникова, второй — самоиграющий инструмент, реагирующий на импульсы от растений через устройства Biotron. Так рождается диалог между композитором и природой: прикосновение к цветку превращается в звук, а движение танцовщиков становится продолжением живого сигнала.
Постановку поставил режиссёр Артём Немов. В ней участвуют четыре артиста современного балета, которые вместе с растениями создают историю внутреннего пробуждения — от удивления и любви до разрушения и откровения.
«Для меня это не просто балет, — говорит Мельников, — а пространство, где природа, технологии и звук живут как единое тело».

Featuring the brand new track, ‘Pisces XII’, as well as a remix from Nikola Melnikov & Max Sorokin. The official video is a collaboration with the first Russian Olympic figure skating champion Adelina Sotnikova.
The land of legends, Lake Baikal, became Melnikov’s home for 10 days. After making an expedition to the island of Olkhon and driving about 1000 km through the steppes and ice, he accidentally came to the settlement "Nikola", in the very place where the ice melts and the Angara River flows out of the lake. There Nikola stayed for a few days to complete work on the composition, Pisces XII.
About Nikola Melnikov
Nikola Melnikov is a classically trained electronic composer, pianist, live performer, and audio-visual artist.
After completing his training at the Gnessin Russian Academy of Music in Moscow, Melnikov launched his professional career with performances at Haute Couture Fashion Week in Paris; the Zahi Hadid Gala Dinner at the State Hermitage in St. Petersburg; the launch of Hyundai’s Sonata; Formula E’s Transformation showcase video; and many more private and public events.
He has since released a series of electronic EPs on legendary tastemaker label, Anjunadeep, and unveiled a series of stunning performance videos.
